Emas National Park
A unique destination in the cerrado, Emas National Park is one of the last remaining areas of its kind. The "Campos Limpos" (Grass fields) that predominate here shelter some of the most characteristic birds of this biome. Here you can find the Lesser Nothura, Ocellated Crake, Yellow-faced Parrot, White-winged Nightjar, Planalto Foliage-gleaner, Cock-tailed Tyrant, Black-masked Finch and the nearly mythical Cone-billed Tanager that for many years was thought to be extinct.
