This fantastic park is located in the Serra de Paranapiacaba, a mountain range about 200 km southwest of the city of São Paulo. Lush Atlantic rain forest on an altitudinal gradient is home to both lowland species such as the Black-fronted Piping Guan, Mantled Hawk, Spot-winged Wood-Quail, Red-and-white Crake, Rusty-breasted Nunlet, Spot-billed and Saffron Toucanet, Pale-browed Treehunter, Giant and White-bearded Antshrike, Squamate Antbird, White-breasted Tapaculo, Sao Paulo Tyrannulet, Hooded Berryeater, Black-legged Dacnis, Buffy-fronted and Temminck's Seedeater. Night birding with the chance to see Least Pygmy-Owl, Mottled and Buff-fronted Owl and Long-trained Nightjar.
