The Caraça mountain ridge is a reservation located in the southern area of the Espinhaço mountain range, in the state of Minas Gerais. Fauna and flora are much diversified. Higher altitudes and fields with rocky outcrops display species endemic to the Espinhaço mountain range, such asHyacinth Visorbearer, Espinhaço Tapaculo, Gray-backed Tachuri and Pale-throated Serra-Finch. Within the forests, many Atlantic rain forest bird species can be observed, such as the Crescent-chested Puffbird, Serra Antbird, Swallow-tailed Cotinga, Red-ruffed Fruitcrow and Serra do Mar Tyrant-Manakin..
